Langauge

• We will be investigsting First Grade
• We will use different ways to investigate what first grade will be like. They will observe, gather information, record and dictate questions as part of their investigation.
• Students will then create a book to show what they have learned about first grade.

Math and Science

• We will be learning about caring for our earth
• We will be reading the 3 little pigs and identifying the natural resources they use to build their houses.
• They will discover the many uses of trees and the products used from trees
• We will identify ways the earth can provide resources for life

Reading:

• Your children should be reading on a level C. Our goal is for them to be reading a level D by the end of the year.
• Sight Words- We will be learning our new sight words and reviewing all of the sight words for the year.
